Overview
MarginStack is a subscription-based SaaS product sold through Paddle.com, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means Paddle is the legal seller of your subscription and handles all billing, invoicing, and payment processing on our behalf.
We want you to be satisfied with MarginStack. If you are not happy with your purchase, this policy explains your options.
Free Tier
MarginStack offers a free tier with limited monthly calculations. No payment information is required to use the free tier, so no refund situation applies.
Paid Subscriptions
Paid subscriptions (Pro and Business tiers) are billed on a recurring monthly basis. When you subscribe, you authorize Paddle to charge your payment method at the start of each billing cycle.
Refund Eligibility
We offer a full refund if you request it within 7 days of your initial subscription purchase or within 7 days of an annual plan renewal. To request a refund, email us at hello@marginstack.io with your account email and the reason for your request. We will process eligible refunds within 5 to 10 business days.
After the 7-day window, refunds are not available for the current billing period. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and you will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing cycle.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard or by contacting us at hello@marginstack.io. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. After cancellation:
- You will continue to have access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
- Your account will revert to the free tier at the end of that period.
- Your saved calculations and data will be retained, but access to premium features will be restricted.
Chargebacks and Disputes
Because Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record, all payment disputes and chargebacks are handled by Paddle. If you have a billing concern, we encourage you to contact us first at hello@marginstack.io so we can resolve the issue directly before a chargeback is initiated.
How Refunds Are Processed
Refunds are issued through Paddle and returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. Processing times depend on your payment provider but typically take 5 to 10 business days to appear on your statement.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
